Executive writing is recognizable. It's brief, it's calm, it's specific, and it lands. The underlying patterns are teachable.

Lead with the decision
Executive readers want the verdict in sentence one. The reasoning follows. Most writers reverse this and hide the decision under three paragraphs of context.
Quantify when possible
'A meaningful improvement' is a sentence anyone could write. 'A 14% reduction in handle time' is a sentence only someone who measured it can write. Quantification signals seriousness.
Acknowledge tradeoffs
Senior writing names what's lost in the recommended path. 'This will slow Q3 launches by about two weeks' inside a recommendation builds credibility. Pretending there are no tradeoffs costs credibility.
End with the ask
Every leadership communication has an ask, even if it's just 'no objections by Friday.' Make it explicit. Implicit asks are missed asks.
