Confidential Information Policy
RewriteAIForMe applies reasonable security and works with model providers under zero-retention terms. Even so, certain categories of information deserve more caution than a general-purpose writing tool can responsibly invite.
Categories to think twice about
- Confidential business information your employer, client, or counterparty would not want exposed.
- Trade secrets and unreleased product information.
- Protected personal information about identifiable individuals — particularly third parties who have not consented to your sharing it.
- Material covered by attorney–client privilege or other legal professional privilege.
- Sensitive medical, financial, or other regulated information about identifiable individuals.
- Information subject to a non-disclosure agreement that restricts processing through third-party services.
How to use the product carefully
Redact identifying details before submission when the rewrite does not actually require them. Replace names with role labels. Replace specific numbers with structurally equivalent placeholders. Reintroduce the sensitive details into the rewritten draft locally, after the fact.
Your obligations stay with you
If you are bound by a non-disclosure agreement, a professional duty of confidentiality, or a regulatory regime, those obligations apply when you choose where to process information. Our security posture does not, by itself, satisfy a third party's confidentiality requirements on your behalf.
