Academic Integrity Policy
RewriteAIForMe supports learning and writing improvement. It is not a substitute for original academic work, and it must not be used to circumvent the rules of any educational institution.
The general rule
If your course, programme, or institution prohibits or restricts the use of AI-assisted writing tools, those rules apply. The availability of this product does not override them. When in doubt, ask your instructor in writing before submitting.
Uses we consider supportive of integrity
- Editing a draft you wrote, to improve clarity, grammar, and structure.
- Studying alternative phrasings to learn the conventions of academic writing.
- Practising with non-graded material to build skill before graded work.
- Reviewing a tutor's or peer's feedback against a structured rewrite to internalise principles.
Uses we consider incompatible with integrity
- Submitting AI-rewritten work as your own original effort in a context that disallows it.
- Rewriting a source to disguise that it was the source — see our Plagiarism Prevention Statement.
- Failing to disclose AI assistance where disclosure is required by your institution.
Disclosure
If your institution requires you to disclose AI assistance, it is your responsibility to do so. The presence of this tool in your workflow is not, on its own, sufficient disclosure under any institutional policy we know of.
